Commander Adama and President Roslin grant reporter D'Anna Biers full access to the Galactica to make a film showing the human face of the military after criticism of the military reaches a fever pitch.
Every series seems to have to do this 'story from the point of view of a TV documentary' episode. At least I remember the same thing in Stargate and the X-Files. I didn't really like them, though the X-Files one was very amusing.
This had the added shock value at the end of finding out that
(Lucy Lawless) D'Anna Biers is a Cylon.
If there are so many Cylons within the fleet isn't it a little stupid to be taking them all to Earth. No wonder the Cylons haven't destroyed Galactica yet, they can sit back and let them find the lost colony, then wipe them all out together. In the meantime, they can carry out their human behaviour experiments on the way.
