Well, this looked like as good a place as any to say it. I am certain Madeline would not object... :D

But Happy Birthday to Teresa!

Virtual Tea and Crumpets and dark chocolate are on the boards.

Party Hearty!

Thank you, Laura. In fact, I've already been honored with a birthday thread elsewhere, but after all ... a dual identity and two threads seems fair enough to me.

(Besides, I'm never one to turn down chocolates, virtual or otherwise.)

Well, why not? After all, this is a SFF forum... so perhaps the two identities, while having similar birthdays, were not born at the same time... In fact, I'd venture to state that they most definitely were not! Given which fact, it only seems logical to have a birthday thread (and virtual celebration) for each....

Besides, this group is always looking for an excuse ... er, reason ... to celebrate....:D

Happy happy happy happy happy happy happy happy happy happy happy happy happy happy happy HAPPY . . .

(You get the idea.)

A lot of presents promised "when I get the time," but only one received. We didn't even go out to dinner as planned -- family members ended up going out to look at a car with an eye toward buying it, and left me home alone to rustle up a meal. (There really was some urgency about the car, because my daughter and son-in-law don't have reliable transportation, and those babies are going to be born any day now.) We did have pie (two kinds) when everyone came home, because I asked for pie instead of cake.

However, my husband vows he's going to get me that severed head I took a fancy to when we were shopping last week. (I'm tempted to leave that statement hanging without any explanation, just for dramatic effect. But no, for the sake of clarity I'll mention that the stores around here are already putting out their Halloween stock. I love Halloween.)

And here you had my hopes up for a nice, meaty ... er, um... well, for a nice grisly story, anyway...
