I only read some of the Animorphs books. I [FONT=&quot]desperately need to know who died in the last book of Animorphs?

In the last Animorph book the following Animorphs died

Rachel
Jake
Marco
Ax (presumably)
and I believe Tobias also died

although it should be noted that Jake, Marco, Ax and Tobias died after Rachel and not in the final battle with the Yeerk Empire

Geez, I'm gonna have to get those books out and start reading from book 1 again *has every single Animorph book*

Isn't that like all of them?

Yeah, basically Cassey was the only one that survived in the end and that ticked me off too because I dont like Cassey. She was appald at how Jake handled the final battle against the Yeerks and Visser three and abandoned him practically, ended up getting married - or was at least engaged to some guy - and was too stuck up to help Jake, Marco and Tobias save Ax who had been taken captive by a new enemy.

As a way of ending the series for good, it was a pretty good ending. However I didn't like the ending much.

I didn;t know the series had ended! OH MY GOD! They all DIE?! Well, yeah that was bound to happen...NO actually, I really didn't expect that!! That's shocking! I'd better read that...even though I hated how moralistic it was getting towards the end...And Cassie survives? Ah, jeez, she was my least favourite. Tobias and Ax should've lived...and mabe Marco. Which number/what's it called?

Wait no! Only rachael dies: (got this from the scholastic website, official interview with K.A Applegate)
Fighting Yeerks is some pretty heavy stuff for a kid. What impact will it have on the rest of their lives? Do you think they will need counseling? And most importantly, will Tobias ever love again?
I suspect our kids will have some very interesting nightmares for the rest of their lives. I think in real life some people shrug off stress and trauma, and others are destroyed by it. And I suspect that the same person who can move easily past one type of pain may be defeated entirely by another. In my mind Cassie and Marco and Ax would be the least affected. Jake and Tobias each had a harder path, in some ways. And Rachel, had she lived, would probably have done poorly. As for Tobias finding true love again, I guess I doubt it. He always did take life too seriously, poor boy

God I hate the author of that book. She writes all the romance with Jake and Cassey and they never get together. That is not the worst part either. She writes like 50 books and ends it on a cliff hanger?!?!?! Who the hell does that. Even though the ending is obvious. Jake says ram the blade ship, they do it, big explosion and they all die.she should have at least written something other than the vague sentence "ram the blade ship"

I read the heck out of the animorphs books, but I stopped when they started turning into dolphins. To be honest the series got a bit stale to me, but the fact that ax died makes me a bit sad. I liked that alien, in fact it was one of the few aliens I bonded with (The doctor aside).

None the less, that makes sense. Even though the animorphs books were for young adults, the later stuff was extremely adult.

I haven't read it, but from what I've seen, Rachel dies for sure and there's a question mark over the lives of the others when they go off on some suicide mission.

I looooooved Animorphs!

P.S. Hoopy, #54: The Beginning.
