Anyone planning on reading the sequel to Peter Pan? Some info has been leaked about it and the Guardian tells what they know here:

From what I recall, the book wasn't so light. The kids did age, and Peter would "take care" of the ones who started getting too old (by getting rid of them).

hmm, not really that interested in this one. despite that it is being hyped as the 'sequel' there have been so many sequels, all disapointing, that i've put this from my mine.
and yes, peter did 'dispose' of the older lost boys. the original was quite dark in many respects.

No, this is a book written by a specifically chosen author to follow the original Peter Pan.

Pretty much yeah. It is being published to make money now that the hospital has lost the rights to the original which was it's bread and butter.

Yes The author, as far as I can make out, is someone called Geraldine McCaughrean. Never heard of her.

to be more specific, a competition was run last year to choose the continuation storyline. i believe that a synopsis and sample work were required, although i may be in error there. I heard about it through my writing workshop. i haven't seen anything since then about the whole thing.
