I was really looking forward going to Chicago in 08 as I heard they put on good Cons I put in a supporting bid for it,just losing by 12 votes must have been very disapointing.
But there again, I've never been to Denver.

Worldcon 2005 in Glasgow was nice.
Will try 2007. If I survive that (Getting progress reports. so that is a start) ....

Denver? Great city! I've had some wonderful nights out in Denver. I can't say enough good things about the place. With any luck I'll have a US publisher by then which will give me the perfect excuse to attend.

Small world Morpheus, I too hope to attend Worldcon 2007 in Japan, matter of finances and timing right now...

2010 is currently being bid for where I live in Melbourne, OZ so if it goes ahead then obviously I'll be there for that one. The last one we had here was in 1999.

Maybe you would be better off trying a smaller con first, world cons tend to be on the large side attendees wise, you can meet someone first day and may not bump into them again. The Parties are good though.

I booked up for Japan at Boston, cutting down on the con going just now, going to miss Octacon in southern Ireland this year, and I will give Eastercon a miss next year as I will not go back to any con held in the Adelphi hotel in Liverpool, as far as I know there may be a little problem there a bit of a lack of members so far along as others things.
