I went for Brynden. Umber is too hot-headed. I think that Tully would be cool and calm, and outlast the Greatjon.

Exactly my reasoning. Scary.

In the words of the Mystery Men:

The Sphinx: "You must learn to master your rage...."
Mr Furious: "Or rage will become my master? That's what you were going to say, right?"
The Sphinx: ".......not necessarily" ;)

We haven't seen either of them fight though.

Let's be honest, we haven't seen 80% of the people in this fight.

Had to go with the Blackfish although I love the Greatjon, he doesn't seem like the duel kind of guy...more like Royal Rumble cage match

Brynden stikes me as smarter and he is a favorite character of mine that I wish we could see more of.

This is like how we can have college football preseason rankings, or rank "pound for pound" fighters even though the heavyweights would destroy the lightweights, or rank Israeli prime ministers based on how they look in a thong....what?

Im a big fan of the Blackfish (thats not an innuendo) but its about as tough a draw as you can get. I mean cmon, the Greatjon is as tough a nut to crack as you can get....the wolf ate his fingers and that made him chuckle.....THE WOLF ATE HIS FINGERS people....

Greatjon fer teh win

I'm with the Greatjon. Tully would saunter in for a couple of pokes with his blade and his wit and all, and Greatjon would laugh and have battered fish for lunch. Besides, from what I recall, the Blackfish was more of a tactician than an actual fighter.

Okay, I get it. This all baseless conjecture similar to sporting events. I see. In that case, who has the home field advantage?

And when he died, all he left us was alone.

I agree with Cully and WS. One on one, the Greatjon wins seventy percent of the time. But if they were each leading equal sized and equally equipped companies in a war, then I believe the Blackfish wins ninety percent of the time.

Gotta go with the Greatjon. I like them both, but the Gratjon would prove too overwhelming in the end. Too bad the Blackfish had to get the Greatjon in the first round.

At the onset of this thread I got a vision of Mel Gibson in Braveheart hitting the huge Scott in the head with the small rock after nearling getting beamed with the small boulder.

I will admit Brynden is the smarter man, probably the more technically sound fighter, and most likely the more well respected of the 2.

Yet, all of those fall short of a man who never knows when he is beaten.

Boaz I would have to up the percentage to 80-85% of the time the Umber walks away victorious.

JMHO
