What if . . . David Gemmel were still with us and he asked his loyal readers what would they like to see after the Troy trilogy from him?

Another Drenai novel?
Old characters?
New characters?
Totally new worlds?
Historical novels?
Maybe a novel based on events in a present novel, but from a different angle or event?

. . . . . What would you, as fans, want to read and why?

. . . . . What would you not want to read and why?

Personally, I would like to jump 25/30 years past King beyond. Lets see what happens with the Twins? That had my mouth watering when I read the epilogue. Great big war, land divided, would they be similar in skill or maybe followed different paths . . . the possibilities??

Yeah a novel about the twins would of been fantastic. It even wipes out the thirty. However I would of loved to of seen more of Dace/Tarantio.

i am with u lot about the twins as wellas u senta about Tarantio/ Dace
but i would liked to have some more Rigante Novels

I personally wish DG had written more on Druss,i love that guy,but i would also like to have read more of Bane, that seemed a little short for me.

More Bane would have been great. Its a shame he went out in Conn's shadow and we never got to see him become the man he became later.

Aargh:eek:! Dont get me started! I go on about this sorta stuff all the time!

Definately want more about the Twins from Quest For Lost Heroes

What happens with Kiall and Tanaki?

What about Waylander looking for the people who murdered his family? How he killed the King?

Another story about Kebra, Bison, Nogusha!

What happened to Jerak, Pericello, and Wulf when they went back in time?

How about a story about Angel? Who was Miriel's baby?

HOW DID SKILGANNON SAVE ULRIC'S LIFE??

so many stories that will forever be untold :( :(...or maybe i'm just to curious!:p :D

A hell of a lot of stories that a lot of us would love to have seen written. Unfortunately David didnt keep notes for novels that he wanted to write it was all a case of "What do I want to write" and so he did.

There were a few ideas that he was interested in writing and whilst he did always say that he didnt have many novels left in him, I think he would have thought of a huge number as when you read interviews a number of books have been inspired by something that people have said to him.

So there could have been others to follow but as youve said we'll never know. The only possibility is that somewhere in his files theres a number of short stories of tales that he started that he never finished. Should such a file exist it wouldnt be that difficult to have them linked either through the use of the Drenai museum where a source priest touches objects to get part of thier history.

haha, nice idea Dros.

Personally I would have loved to have seen Bane's conquering of Stone. Rage was like a father to him, but would Rage stand in defense of his city? Did Bane even realize he killed Maro? How did Persis become a saint of the Vars???

A third Skilgannon novel would have been nice, i felt he left that otion opne with the ending of tSoNaD.

And of course the Twins...

Its great that he didnt keep notes cause i would really hate someone else twisting and ruining DG amazing world and characters.

Knowing how loved and popular he is, the publisher would realese alot crappy books made on his ideas by people that arent good enough to be his apparentice even.

Do you not feel that may happen anyway!! I have a feeling a few years down the line we may see a few books based on his originals or his worlds.

I hope not but it would be a money maker, even if us die hards would turn our nose's up, people would buy them . . . hell i'd even be tempted to see the outcome (although from a library lol. So as not to line sacreligious pockets.)

Id hate anyoe else trying to write his Ideas for novels but don't have too much of a problem with people using the worlds, although I doubt I'd actually rad them. So...

Would love to see something different from David, something historical would be interesting, perhaps ancient persia or something from the 'biblical' period. but Could have enjoyed any more books from him whatever the subject.

He is greatly missed.
