Anyone here read Marshall Law - Fear and Lothing, by Pat Mills and Kevin O' Neil?

This is a very mature readers-only book and a great one, too, in my opinion - what starts off as an otherwise violent and gratuitous superhero graphic novel soon becomes underwritten by a great exploration of war, heroism, and the male psyche.

That may sound a little too intellectualised, but the point is, it's hard not to read this to the end, and not be left with a new way of looking at the traditional superhero genre.

Point is, though, what did other people think of this?

Yeah, read this originally many years ago when Toxic Comic was printed back in the early nineties, but have read Fear and Loathing since, courtesy of my local library. Never thought of Marshall Law as a superhero though, more your anti-hero type. Great artwork and even better script.......they should make more of this. Excellent

Anti-hero indeed. :)

I remember reading some continued stories in another comic like Toxic (or maybe it was??), but the stories faded away to focus on the brutality, I felt, rather than actually having any real kind of story development as Fear & Loathing did.

Other stories featured in Toxic was stuff like 'Accident Man', 'Brats Bizarre' and 'The Driver', the latter more brutality than story, but 'Accident Man' was just as good as the 'Marshall Law' series....Just a pity it's not in print anymore!
