We had a chat at FantasyCon and he was perfectly happy to be interviewed by chronicles.

So if you have any questions for Raymond E Fiest, please post them here and I'll roll them all together into an interview to send off to him. :)

Faerie Tale was a complete departure from his other works, will he ever depart from the world of Midkemia,Pug and Tomas given us something more a long the line of Faerie Tale?

What plans has he got for his future works? Is he tempted to maybe create another world?

How does he keep track of his Timeline, characters and plots throughout his various related novels?

Has he ever published a mistake with the above? If so who spotted it and what was it?

What other activities does he do apart from writing?

How does he like to spend all his money?

What would he be if not a published Author (outside publishing altogether)?

How did he catch a break with Magician?

If he could have written any other fictional novel in the world aside from his own, what would it be and why, fantasy and non?

Whats his personal favorite novel, written by himself?

Who does he enjoy reading, in the his own genre?

Who are his major influences?

Does he still love the genre as much as he did when he first started writing?

How does he feel the genre is progressing in recent times?

(Thats a good question!!)

leading from that . . . Following J K Rowlings success, how does he feel about the huge influx of copycat written for children/teen fantasy, although fantasy as it stands has a big readership anyway at these ages, does he feel like others that there is alot of dumbing down, stereotyping occurring?

Or is this a good thing for future ature fantasy novels, as young readers become adults and catch fantasy bug?

Would he have changed anything in "Magician" if he'd known that the series would go on for so many books?

Any chance of further collaborations with Janny Wurts?

(if its not too late to add a question:) )

Can he describe the writing of the Empire series with Wurts?....Eg. how does the creative process work when collaborating with another writer? Did he find it challenging?
