Not really fantasy or science fiction, but still a book to ask about.

Well I'm not sure if I'm allowed to discuss a book other than fantasy or science fiction, but if I'm not allowed the book police have my permission to come and get me. I've seen the movie War of the Buttons many times and I noticed that it is based on a book, La Guerre des boutons. I really want to read the book, but I can only find French translations and as much as I would like to read French, I can't. My French is very limited. Does anyone know where I can find an English copy????

Oh well, thanks anyways. I did attempt looking for it again with the ISBN given to me, but no luck. All used copies are in French or one was in Spanish. Oh if only I could read better in a foreign language.

I've asked book dealers that I know in the UK and they're also coming up blank right now. However, they have promised to keep looking and I'll tell you if they find anything fancying_fantasy.

It does sound like a very intriguing book.

I entered in their quick serch the name ofthe author and it brought forward a couple of options, unfortunatelly i think that they are in french.

But as you are in the States, maybe a quick phone call would not be that expensive, or you can always e-mail them. As far as i know they are quite a big operation.

Yes, Powell's are a very big operation, and usually quite happy to help. A lot of these bookstores that do a thriving internet business also have an option where you can put in a "want" and they'll flag it to notify you when they find one.
