Mark Robson is one of the most enthusiastic, charismatic speakers I have ever heard. This morning at the Cheltenham Literary festival an hour's lecture went by in what seemed like moments. He began by addressing his talk to the children in the audience to which I gave an inner groan and steeled myself to be talked down to. No such thing. In moments I was as spellbound as the rest of the audience, totally captivated by the energy and zest of the session.

My enduring impression is of a man who cannot stand still in any way; this applies to his speaking, his ambitions and most definitely his writing. His application and energy are truly amazing.... God help us if he ever goes for world domination!

If you ever get a chance to attend a talk of Mark Robson’s I’d highly recommend it. I doubt his route to success is typical and it certainly makes fascinating hearing. And to top it all.... he writes great books!

I look forward to meeting Mark and witnessing for myself first hand his 'patter'. I have heard it is awesome. Sadly I think he may well be slurring nonsense when we do meet up. I will too. Though that is the norm for me. He started out as a self published writer and sold many of his books by going out there and meeting the readers (or potential readers).

I was talking to Dan and he says that we are meeting for a drink on Monday Mark. I look forward to meeting you both. Been a long time in coming. :)

Oh I see, they get beer. I just get a signature.:)

We can do drinks next time if you like. I'm always up for a tipple! (Sadly I was driving last night, so had to sit and watch as the other three degenerated into blithering wrecks! :( ) I was a bit swamped when I saw you last, but would be delighted to have a chance to sit and chat properly. Remind me where you live and I'll have a look at my schedule for next year.

Only joking. I'll let you off. Did enjoy the talk though and if I'm honest I didn't really expect to as I thought it would be aimed at children.

Let us know if you're in the Gloucestershire area again - Also are you doing the Haye on Wye book festival, which I think is in May.

And anyone else in this area, I'd highly recommend going along and maybe a few of us could all meet up and have some beers this time.
