Common viruses may be linked to loss of memory

This is something I've not heard anything about before, and as someone who had quite severe problems of this sort growing up, it raises some important questions:

Oh great I might as well give up now... I almost always have a cold

If this is true my memory will be gone so, wait I think it is already leaving me
