next book

Uhm i think he is hoping to get the writing done somewhere at the beginning of next year
 
The last update on his website said hopefully by the end of this year or possibly by end of January 07.

Don't worry, you can come on here and we can tell you how great it is :)
 
The draft will be finished by the end of the year, which means it could be as late as autumn 07 before release, summer at the earliest
 
The latest info is that GRRM plans to turn the book into his publisher by the end of December, possibly the end of January. That would lead to publication 5-6 months later, so expect it no earlier than July 2007, but Autumn 2007 is much more likely.
