Help! I'm stuck in the forums!
I won't have the chance to write a full review here, but I did want to post some comments on the book for others' edification.

I was eager to begin this book as it seemed to be all that I would enjoy in a fantasy, and for the most part I wasn't disappointed (though, sadly, there were no dragons :( ). I had a bit of difficulty with the beginning as the prologue was so overly flattering of the author that I felt he was trying to force the reader to enjoy the story. After the first chapter where there were a few things I may have questioned, the story just rolled along. A very nicely told story with interesting characters that kept my interest. By the time I reached the end of the story, I couldn't even recall what it was in the first chapter that I would have questioned. Needless to say it must have been either trivial or solved later on in the story.

I am glad that I have read it and have now put the rest of her books on my 'to read' list. Of course, actually finding them for sale might be a challenge but if they are as good as this one it won't bother me at all (unless I can't get any of them!!)
