This guy was God for me back in the day. The My Teacher Is An Alien series is the one I remember being most popular, but a better series (at least to me as a child) was the Rod Allbright series. This used to captivate me and really immersed me in an array of diverse alien landscapes and fascinating character. Anybody else remember any of his stuff?

I still read his books and buy them whenever I find them. My favourites are the Magic Shop books and of those I like Jeremy Thatcher Dragon Hatcher best of all. Always cry buckets and buckets every single time I read that book.

The other two books I love are Oddly Enough and Odder Than Ever. I re-read those whenever I feel a little down. They never fail to lift my spirits and I'll never forget using The Box in one of my creative writing classes. It drove my students up the wall that the contents of the box were never explicitly stated. These two books contain some of my all time favourite short stories and I really like his slant eyed way of looking at everyday things.

Am very glad to have found someone else who likes his work. And yes it's hard to forget homework being eaten by Aliens. :p

Same here. :)

When I was a kid I basically read everything in my local library's children's section, but there were certain books I'd borrow over and over again, and those included pretty much everything they had by Coville. It wasn't a massive library though, so I have a feeling there's a lot of his stuff I haven't read (sometimes it's hard to remember). I may well try out the ones you suggested, I don't recognise the titles.
