According to wikipedia, the next discworld book will be Making Money, confirmed recently by Pratchett as the book he's begun writing as of the completion of Wintersmith. And here is the exciting part - it'll be the second novel featuring Moist von Lipwig (Going Postal).

Oooh, exciting :D I liked Albert Spangler quite a bit. Amazing how pTerry (chris has got me calling him that now) can write such good books one every 6 months.

Haven't seen any news about the date. My guess is sometime late next year.

Hey Joe, where did you get the '37. I Shall Wear Midnight'?:) Is it going to be a city watch?

I think "I shall wear midnight" is a Tiffany book, although I'm not sure. In A Hat Full of Sky she said "When I'm old, I shall wear midnight".
Otherwise I'd expect it to be a witches book.

I beleive its The Wee Free Men where the withches turn up

I hadnt heard of wintersmith will have to get myself to the library!

carry a book on you at all times. amazing how much fun you can have reading in a queue :D
the only problem is when you lose yourself in a book and something happens that you're unaware of. (don't cross the road while reading, for example).

Granny is in all the Aching books so far: Wee Free Men, Hat Full of Sky, Wintersmith

anyway, back on track... Who likes making money?!

Judging from what happened at the end of Going Postal, I suppose it will be about how Moist von Lipwig introduces paper money in Ankh Morpork. I can't wait!! :D

Looking forward to another Ankh-Morpork book. AM is developing; it's becoming a modern city, like our cities today, but still very different: Dwarves and Trolls instead of an immigrant lower class, clacks instead of telephone/telegraph (we used to have them too, but there was no need for them to develop), magic instead of... uh, everything else :)

It's becoming more and more a mirror image to our own societies, but still so different you can enjoy the Fantasy feeling, the sense of wonder.

Pratchett has occasionally hinted at other possible future Discworld novels. These include I Shall Wear Midnight, a Tiffany Aching book hinted at in The Art of Discworld, Nation (about a nation consisting of one person - From Orange Word interview), Unseen Academicals (about football at the Unseen University - From an Alternative Nation interview.) and Scouting for Trolls (mentioned in an interview with Alternative Nation ) the title of which would parody Scouting for Boys
