Hey all, I just stumbled across this piece on the Radio 4 website. I've not listened to it yet, but thought some of his fans might find it interesting.

I've actually interviewed him in person - not too hard to do since he lives here :) Of course, this was about a decade ago. I probably have that interview somewhere around and ACC says he showed it to Tom Hanks - not that that matters to anybody :p
 
I'm not sure if I remember this right but I think he read his story "The Star" on the BBC TV one Christmas, maybe in the late 60s or early 70s.
