It's been quite a while since the superb PREACHER by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon was a regular top seller in comic shops and as graphic novels, but it is still well remembered. There has been a lot of rumour and speculation about the title being transformed for the big screen but last week HBO made an announcement:

HBO hears word, brings 'Preacher' to small screen

As a TV serial Preacher may well thrive, being more room for more detail, but their is a slight fear it might be a bit risque even for HBO...

A TV series is a better idea. I would probably rent or if good buy the dvds if they were released afterwards.

The Preacher is basically what got me reading comics again after ignoring them for a few decades.

Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon together is better then sliced bread.

My favorite comics of all time have been The Preacher and the Garth Ennis issues of Hellblazer.

Is this animated or live action? Oh right, read the press release dummy. LOL!

Anyway, I'm remembering the Spawn series on HBO late night. It was great, but nobody watched it.

Im a purist when it comes to Ennis and i wont be watching a tv series by the guy that wrote the horrible Daredevil movie.....
