Babylon 5 DVD quality

I've been having a few issues watching Season 3 recently - I've found disc 3 especially, but also disc 5, not playing properly on my DVD player.

I don't have any problems playing any other DVD.

The main issue is the playback jumping - often freezing - on the Babylon 5 season 3 discs. It's been so bad we've actually had to play some episodes on the Playstation 2.

Question is, is this a common complaint?

I've not had any problems myself, but I've got a vague memory of reports of problems with some B5 discs. I think they were problamitic, withdrawn, then reissued. I honestly can't remember whether it was season 3 or not, but it might be that if it was you just happened to get hold of one of the original releases...

I've had trouble with seasons 1 and 2 actually. In fact, I had to go exchange season 2. there were episodes that just would not play.

The boxes themselves are really poor quality as well. The disc support become unglued from the cardboard thing and season 1 was missing a booklet. Grrr!
