I thought it was an excellent piece. I am not comfortable writing classical fantasy but you seem to have the knack. The prose were very easy to read and did not jar too much. I also have no issue with the name. As long as you ensure that the character is well written any name can become workable. The (male) hero form my story is also a heroine from Greek mythology as some smart bugger once pointed out on here (swine!) but the name was so much a part of the character for me that I will never change it - even a publisher asked it.
