Play a Game

Cool website too, this quote caught my eye
Regarded as one of the most significant contemporary English-language satirists, Pratchett has won numerous literary awards, was named an Officer of the British Empire “for services to literature” in 1998, and has received four honorary doctorates from the Universities of Warwick, Portsmouth, Bath, and Bristol. His acclaimed novels have sold 40 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 33 languages.

most interesting :)

:D Thanks for the link, steffi! Wow, 40 million copies.... Does he beat Stephen King?

 I wonder if he does?! I shall have to investigate...pitting my two favourite authors against each other!

*Hurries away to her alter of the Google God*

*Runs back in*

Ok, well, after fleeing around the internet, I have found out that (sorry, as much as I love the dude, I have to gloat) Stephen King has sold almost 100 million copies of his books worldwide! Woo, go Kingy-baby!

Sorry, TP...still love ya :D Just not as much as Stephen King!

Hoopy, you ARE quick! No way, 100 million? No worries, Terry is younger than Stephen right?

Apparently...I may have to go and compare sources, but it seems about that many. Yay, go Kingy! :D

And perhaps...I don't know their exact ages, but Stephen King's been writing for...30-40 years now?

Ok, yet more research...Stephen King will be 60 this year (born in 1947) and his first book, Carrie, was published in 1974...so yes, he's been going for over almost 40 years.
