I happened to put on the soundtrack for the Stargate movie the other day - it's stilla great work, and it reminded myself of how much I actually enjoyed the film.
But I never watched the TV spin-off - cynical me expected too much cliche and soap-operatic-style scripting.
But did my cynicism mean I missed out on some quality programming? Or did the TV series never aspire above the mudane?
