Silly Author Person
Kirkus--also known as "The Dark Side" of reviewing sources to librarians--ran a review of my collaborative (with Selina Rosen) paranormal mystery novel Bad Lands. It was in the March 15th issue.
Selina and I have sort of been dreading the issue (I think me more than Selina since I am more familiar with the review source) because they are not always kind.
But they said nothing that could be taken as malicious.
Well, they did say our book was a "down-market take off" on Then There Were None, and added that it was not for the "faint of heart," but since we did write the book for "the common man" market, we're actually pleased they caught on to that.
Of course, they apparently missed all the humor...
Oh, well, at least they inviscerate it.
And the good news is that librarians say if Kirkus gives a book a bad review, they will be more likely to buy it...
