Taken from Locusmag.com:
SF author Leigh Eddings, wife of David Eddings and co-author of many of his books, most recently The Younger Gods (Voyager, Warner) died last Wednesday, February 28, 2007, after a series of strokes.

I just found this out today, and didn't see it posted anywhere, so I figured this would be the appropriate place to put it.

The Belgariad was one of the first books that got me into reading in general, so this was a bit of a shock for me. I know she will be missed.

Wow, first David Gemmell and now this! Makes me very worried considering Robert Jordan's ill health.
It's very sad news for all their fans and my heart goes out to her husband, David.

Poor man, to loose his wife and work partner in the same fell swoop. I hope he can still find peace.

RIP Mrs. Eddings

wow. i feel really bad for him.

unfortunatly he probably wont start writing again......although theres always the possibility

Indeed. And with his recent problems with the fire, as well... He's not had a good year of it, either. My condolences to Mr. Eddings and his family and friends....

Very sad! But what a wonderful life they've had together - at least David can look back at the fullness of it.

Oh No! i didnt know about this! i only just found out David Gemmell passed away:eek:.

Everyone was waiting for David Eddings to pass away, which is he wanted Leigh's name on the Younger God seris, so she could keep writing...this came as a big shock!!

RIP Leigh Eddings

OMG Leigh Eddings ur kidding right? I always look to her as the mind behind Polgara becuase without her there could never be the perfect installment of Polgara the Sorseress.

Ill miss u Leigh

they put her name in for belgarath. the author's note at the beginning stated she had been collaborating with David from the beginning. its my belief that she was the main reason the characters were far more realistic than ones where an author tries to write fo the other gender. suspecting if David keeps writing he will either leave out major female roles, or they will not be quite so believable. Hail and farewell Leigh. for David my condolences, and good luck.

Its a very very big loss, as people have said I believe that Leigh was actually the creative force behind the bookd and david more the person who expressed her thoughts to paper...

Her passing may explain why the last book set was so appalingly compleated and did not have the "feel" of the others.

A sad loss

Leigh put the great !umph! in the books she and David wrote{:(
