Holodeck Is One Step Closer To Reality

In Star Trek: The Next Generation, characters onboard the starship Enterprise engage in recreational activities via the holodeck, a highly sophisticated type of virtual reality or simulated reality facility room that can create objects and people through a combination of replicated matter animated, with tractor beams as well as shaped force fields onto which holographic images are projected.
