Silly Author Person
It hit hard last night. I was in the livingroom and heard a crashing sound that was clearly something hitting the side of the house, but with the fury all around me (and the trees), I chose to huddle and wait and see if the roof was coming off or something.
Nothing blew in, and the windows and roof remained intact.
When I went out this morning, I discovered that the basement door had been hit hard enough with a gust of wind that it popped open, and that was what I heard, the door slamming into the side of the house.
However, as I left for work this morning, there was also a mystery to ponder...a jacket and pants were placed on the porch swing as though a person had been sitting there and just vanished out of their clothes. In the "clothing's" grasp was a box of an unknown brand of chips (crisps, to my British readers).
I stared at it for a moment, and would have checked it out further, but I had to go to work (and was running a little behind and uncertain of the route since I heard that a large tree was down on one of the roads and there is contruction blocking the way on the other...)
What I did notice was that it was dry, indicating that whomever put it there (and I have my suspicions) did so AFTER the storm, or very early this morning before I got out...
Strange...
