Im a huge fan of lost, so I felt obligated to post a thread on this topic

What is your favourite episode??

Mine is probably the one (I think its in season 2??) where Locke (My fave character) meets his astranged father, his dad tricks him into giving him one of his kidneys and then totally ignores him.The part where at the end of the episode Locke is crying in his car is just so emotional(I think that I was almost/crying-and I am not one to be easily moved by movies/T.V)Its just so sad that you cant help but get a lump in your throat as you watch it!

I also think that the episode in season 3 where Hurley finds and rebulids a car is a really great episode that has a great message behind it.The episode is really uplifting and is definately one of my faves even though it doesnt advance the overall plot that much

Hi Dark Knight,

I'm a huuuge Lost fan as well! I appreciate the post because I love being reminded of certain episodes that I may have forgotten in the virtual avalanche of awesome/excellent/well-written episodes.

I also liked the ones you mentioned and I admit that the episode with Locke practically broke my heart. Terry O'Quinn was fantabulous!

Some of my favourite episodes are a) the one where Sawyer meets Jack's father in flashback (Season 1), and puts it all together but does not tell Jack. And b) the one when Sawyer finally reveals to Jack that he had met his father (Sawyer was leaving with Micheal & Jin on the raft and felt the need unburden). I admit to getting a lump in my throat and a few tears in my eyes as Sawyer repeated the father's words to Jack.

I also really enjoyed the episode (Season 2) when Hurley started hallucinating that he saw a guy from the mental hospital but no one else could see him. The guy kept trying to convince Hurley that the whole 'island' thing was a figment of his psychosis. Libby pulled him through it, but in the end we saw that Libby had been in the mental hospital as well.

What did you think of that? Is Hurley imagining it all? Why was Libby in the hospital and will we see more of her in flashback? It's entirely possible given the number of 'chance' encounters people keep having via flashback this Season. Case in point was the most recent episode where it was revealed that Kate met Cassidy some years ago while she was on the run.

Oh! How could I forget (Season 3) when it was revealed that Claire is Jack's sister! Neat-o! How will the two of them ever figure it out though?

I could go on...but I think that's enough for now LOL :D

Hi Mollygurl,

I also liked the episodes that you mentioned from season 1,especially the one where Sawyer meets Jacks father. As for season two (personally I think that seasons 1+3 are better but anyway...) yeah I thought that the 'Hurley Hallucinating episode was interesting.I hope that they explain why Libby was in the hospital(or else im gonna be really confused:p ).Season 3:yeah like I said the one where Hurley fixes the car is my fave so far. That episode that you mentioned about Jack+Claire being related was really suprising  ,cause I never thought that of all the characters they would be related...Although halfway through the episode I had kinda figured it out (like when Claires aunt told her that an American doctor was the one supporting her mother:D )

I wouldn’t argue with you that Season 1&3 are better than 2. Forgot to add that the episode were the teacher blows himself up was pretty darn cool as well. That was my first “wow; anything can happen on this show” moment.

I liked the one where Hurley fixes the car as well (mostly cuz I just love Hurley) but I thought it was just a wee bit predictable. And where is the van now?

I was also on to the Claire/Jack connection as soon as the aunt made that comment. But I wonder how Claire & Jack will figure it out? Maybe the Others know? They seem to know just about everything else about the Lostaways.

As for Season 3 in general; I loved the episode that introduced the 2 new characters (Paolo & ?? 'whats-her-name'). I thought that was well done and totally freaky in the end when it was revealed that the two were paralyzed and not dead after all. Do you see them clawing their way out of the sand or dying in a buried-alive way?

That new female character that you were talking about is Nikki.Yeah I feel as though they kinda deserved it(they did kill a guy just to steal his diamonds!).
I didnt really like these new characters-I thought that they were kinda pointless really(they were supposedly on the beach the whole time and yet we never ever saw them...how convenient!)

That guy with the eyepatch was a really cool character and I was devastated when they killed him after only two episodes!

Yeah that's right...Nikki. Thanks! I totally feel like they deserved it as well; as you said - they did kill a man. I don't know if they're introduction was totally pointless, I'm sure we'll see them again. Stranger things have happened on the Island ;) . I agree that it was strange that they were "supposed" to be on the beach this whole time but I think that the show handled it in a funny way by having some of the characters say "who are you people?". LOL

I liked the guy with the eyepatch as well. I was more shocked to see the black woman get killed. It was so abrupt and I was looking forward to hearing what her story was.

The Hurley one where the numbers and their bad luck are explained - there's a certain amount of comedy in the whole episode with what happens to him - then when at the end it zooms to the hatch and the numbers "4 8 15 16 23 42" are printed on the side... great.

That or series 2 ep 1 - just for the opening sequence with Desmond inside the hatch - a great setup for the rest of the series.

Hi Mollygurl,

Season 3:yeah like I said the one where Hurley fixes the car is my fave so far.

Mine as well... I LOVE lot of different episodes, but that one stuck out... I think because Sawyer wasn't a very friendly person (and really still is not... in a way), and when Hurley and Jin fix the car, he joins them in the fun.

Not only that... but the true friendship between Hurley and Charlie reveals itself... Hurley wanted to cheer Charlie up by taking him for a ride... and rolling down the hill in a stahled out vehicle, trying to "drift start" it in a way (haha)... Hurley knew that it would start... and he wanted to give Charlie a feeling of hope. :)

I just love how they drive around and have fun. And, for a moment... they forget their lost.

I think my favorite episode might be the one in season 3 where the Losties head inland to get out a message, while Sawyer, Jin, and Bernard wait to ambush the Others... then Hurley saves the day in his van! It marked a moment in the show when the Losties stopped being victims, worked together, and asserted themselves against the threats from the Others. They became an equal force to the Others at that point, a second island "superpower," and initiated the turning point in their situation.

Too many to name. One that comes to mind is the episode in season 2 when Micheal kills Ana Lucia and Libby. I have not been shocked like that in a long time.

All the season finales. And the pilot. And the rest of them.

Yep that was my favourite episode too. I love the whole idea of them simply walking through places that are of great importance and have taken ages for the rest of the guys to discover - and just arguing , ignoring their surroundings , intent on their own greed.

I really liked the Constant. I think that's what the episode was called. It was the one where Desmond's consciousness in flashing through time, and he has to call Penny to stabilize himself. I loved the conversation between him and Penny!
