Other seasons may be more fantastic, but I believe Season 8 was Stargate's hottest season in classical terms...more top secrecy violated, more governmental shakeups, more SG1 displacements than in any other season except perhaps the groundbreaking first season. I enjoyed watching the season when the network finally got around to re-broadcasting it.
