The Best and Worst Gemmell Character

Best - Bane

Worst - The guy from Echoes Of A Great song - I can't recall his name as there are far too many Gemmill characters - I am talking about the mean one who seems a little crazy.

My favorite Characters are Skilgannon, Waylander, and Jaim

My least faverorites are the ones from Winter Warriors, never really got into that book, unlike the others.

I would have to say that my favorite character, his evil sides withstanding, is the Moidart. I think his dialogue was simply hilarious.

I hear that, I must have read that paragraph where he captures the would-be assassins a dozen times.

(Rough translation here, been a about a half year)

"Guards, please escort these men to their chambers."
"We'll tell you everything!"
"Oh I know, people in my dungeons always do."

Still brings a smile to my lips.

Dace/Tarantio has to be the best gemmell character there is more to like/loath in him than in any of the others. I've got mention Finn and Maggrig as well, that brotherly thing is cool.
Worst has to be Jon Shannow. Not that I disliked the novels, its just I see him as the literary equivalent of Keanu Reeves.

Dont know about the best there are so many to choose from but the worst has to be Iron Hands Daughter, I just hated her!

hey. i'm new. i think the best character is kaelin, and also skilgannon. not quite sure why, they just seem to have a sort of strength some of the others don't have, and i fell in love with them! oh, and also jaim.

Best: Druss/Waylander worst:the rigante line is the weak link

I disagree in my opinion rignate was his best series.

I really liked Druss the Legend, but that's really an obvious choice.

I read the sword in the storm after midnight falcon and, surprisingly, I liked Connavar more than Bane. I thought he was kickass.

My least favourite is definitely Asta Kahn. He's a cowardly arse.

I'd have 2 agree with sebcharrot Druss is class and i hated that guy asta khan.I really liked talisman in deathwalker as well i thought he was a great character.

I liked best Jon Shannow, Tenaka Khan and the Waylander, I guess I'm not being original here Also, I think that the Legend was Gemmel's best novel, although as characters go I preferred Regnak and Virae to Druss about whom I didn't greatly care. As for his worst characters, I don't remember the names, but I didn't finish reading The Winter Warriors. It's a pretty average Drenai novel, with pretty much the same set of characters as always, but I tried to read it twice and I couldn't, the second time with only about a hundred pages remaining. Guess that was one Nadir/Drenai book too much, although maybe I'll give it another try...in time

As a few people have said I have to say my favorite was Druss, I mean he is like 65 and still Badass. He never gives up it is the classic indominable human spirit. But at a very close second. I would say Serbitar. Rek was quite amusing as well.
As for worst hummm. Id say...well actually I think I couldnt say worst but my least favorite would have to be the crazy woman who died with Druss and masaged him or whatever forgot her name.

The worst is the witch who created the swords in White wolf, cant remember he name, but she irratates me so bad!

as ive only read Legend cant really comment on the rest but i like druss and rek. orrin gets quite good too.

hmm. i hated druss. that's simple for me. favourite, i dont' think i had one. in each book my fav was usually the sensitive type guy who ended up dead. but that's cos i fancy them (yes i fancy book characters) i liked waylander. but teneka (is that his name? it sbeen a while, king beyond the gate guy) i liked him. i felt bad for him.

Tenaka Khan. Purple-eyed geezer who was Ulric's decendant. He was pretty cool with the whole dual swords business.
I've mentioned it before, but my favourite character is Jon Shannow. Merciless killer with a heart o' gold.

i never read the jon shannow stuff. i am a picky picky reader, and fantasy with guns in tends to put me off a bit *shrug*
