Tepper I find somewhat uneven, but usually interesting and enjoyable; Louise Cooper ... depends on what you're looking for; Greg Bear is a bit weak in some areas, and his construction is a bit uneven, but he's usually got some very good ideas and things to ponder (I think I'd suggest
The Infinity Concerto out of these, myself); I'm not a big fan of Weis & Hickman... a bit too stereotyped, I think, though many people enjoy them quite a bit; Phyllis Eisenstein... I've not read this particular book, but what of hers I have read I was impressed with; the two Moorcock books are the second books of, respectively,
The Dancers at the End of Time and the
Chronicles of Castle Brass (the three-volume finale to both the Dorian Hawkmoon set and the Tale of the Eternal Champion); Brian Lumley tends to polarize people -- and I'm not a big fan of Lumley, but I've enjoyed some of his work. The set this is a part of, though, I think is among his weaker work. Not overly fond of Terry Brooks, either -- again, too stereotypical in his approach.
However, if you're looking for just simple, fun reads, the majority of the books there are entertaining, if very light.....
