The Revived Tolkien Trivia

Try this:

On whom did the Prophesy of the North mainly fall?

Quote not needed, but a book/chapter reference is, please.

What is the Prophecy of the North, precious? Do you mean the Doom of Mandos or the Prophecy of Malbeth the Seer or something completely different?

Nowt to do with Malbeth.
The Prophecy is what it is - if it was a doom, the question was on whom did it fall?

Go not to Pyan for counsel for he will answer both no and yes...

Well, after forty days and forty nights...

It's in the Silmarillion, and it's a two-word answer...

That's it, @orilui - it was the judgement of the Valar pronounced on the Elves that carried out the Kinslaying.

Your go...

Well, as no-one else has offered a solution, and it's been six months...

"Nienna pondered in silence and watered Ezellohar with her tears" - Ezellohar being another name for Corollairë, a small hill just outside the western gates of Valimar. Two saplings grew from the watered hill, which became the Two Trees of Valinor.

Silmarillion, "Quenta Silmarillion: Of the Beginning of Days"

Haven't seen @orilui for a couple of months, but hopefully we can get this going again...
