~Vengeful Goddess~ ~~Don't tempt me~~
I was a bit disappointed with this book. There was hardly any mistery to solve, the only interaction with the RPIT team was fraught and she never once actually went to work!
I don't mind the sexual content that LKH has been using in her book, but this one, apparently, was allllllllllll about it.
Don't get me wrong, I like her style of writing and I did enjoy this book, but not as much as I could have. Some of the paragraphs were too "rambly" if you get my meaning. Like she was only trying to pad it out. And others just looked like she wasn't even trying. :(

Let's hope the next one is better.
I'm holding out hope for the Merry Gentry series, that at least, has some mystery to it.

Was Edward a big part of the book? If it's just another sex book I'm not even going to buy it used. I can't imagine this book having more sex than her previous few.

Edward was in it yes. And he did play a big(ish) part in it. He also had help from a certain someone. lol.
One thing I liked about the Edward parts were that you could see him becoming more "real" if you get me? In other books he was made very one-dimensional, in this one you get to see different sides of him.

But basically, loads and loads of sex. She picks up a couple of new lovers too!!! And they say truth is stranger than fiction?!?!

A good read, yes, but not her best. Not a zombie in sight. She's supposed to be a necromancer, not a love-toy.

A slightly better book than her previous one, nowhere near as good as any of her early ones. I was extremely bored stuck out of town for work and had forgotten the book I was currently reading at home (Before They Are Hanged, fantastic book), and so I picked it up at Barnes and Noble when I couldn't find the new Kushiel book. It managed to keep me entertained, barely. I won't likely buy the next one unless someone I trust tells me they've changed drastically.
