Just received the mailing from PS Publishing

new novellas from Steven Erikson (Revolvo, a 30,000-word everyday tale of octopids, neanderthals and cigarettes),

sounds fun also

from Ian Cameron Esselmont, the limited edition of the 260,000-word follow-up novel to Night of Knives entitled Return of the Crimson Guard.

just for anyone who does have the mailing list, I would say there aren't any dates yet that I can see.

Return is scheduled for Spring '08. But that's the mass-market one bublished by Bantam, I imagine PS will be releasing a little bit later.

Howdo -

We've just posted the cover art (by Edward Miller) for the two-volume first edition of Return of the Crimson Guard over at the PS Publishing News Room if anyone would like to see it..?

(I'd post the link, but I haven't managed 15 posts yet... if someone with more influence than me would be so kind..?)

The link is here:)

Edward Miller's cover art is always awesome, this is no exception. I especially like the top one of the two.

Cheers Rane!

I think they both look stunning, but I have to admit the first one takes the biscuit for me, too... :)

I've always found PS Publishing very easy to deal with in the past.

I'm not sure if I will buy the 2 volume slipcase or not. Might just wait for the Guard to come out in stores.

The 3 novella collection from Erikson I purchased was excellent value for money!!

Excellent, that's great to hear! Hopefully the new(-ish) PS Webstore will make us even easier to deal with in future as well :)

The two-volume set is a definite outlay, but it'll be the true first edition and a collectors' piece for years to come. We're only printing 300 copies, and we won't be doing a trade edition, precisely because it is coming out in the stores later in the year...

And before I forget... our 50% sale is still on until the end of the year, including Steven Erikson's Fishin' With Grandma Matchie, plus paperback editions of Blood Follows and The Devil Delivered... offer ends midnight, December 31st, UK time...

thats what I told my girlfriend when she told me off for spending so much on a book, but I just point to her shoe collection and that usually gets me out of it

Shoe collection? Sounds like an automatic get-out-of-jail-free card for your library to me, mate :)
