I wonder what happened to Gliese 581 A & B. Still its interesting. Cant see much being done to get there soon, but then again we may have to start moving out and searching for new homes if we continue on the path of destruction here.

Thank'ee! Frankly, the reason I post a lot of these is because (this being a science fiction site with an aspiring writers' section) I hope they're not only of some interest, but they may be of some aid to those writing science fiction stories, as well. They're not rigorous in their science, but if they can supply a little information that sparks, or helps them to get details right, or even aid them in finding places to look in finding that information, then they've served their purpose....

Well, there are still a few million more possibilities out there.

I'm still waiting for that unambiguous first contact --- "Take me to your leader" --- kind of thing. But I'd love to know that we are not alone no matter how it might come about.

I don't think we'll have contact with sentient aliens anytime soon. (See the Fermi paradox Fermi paradox - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )

However, I think we will soon find a close earth size and signature planet. That should give us a more definite aim in our space efforts.
