Aren't there a few major flaws in this psychological test? such as the knowledge that they aren't actually in space?

It'll only work if they don't let the volunteers out under any circumstances, up to and including homicidal insanity.

Woo! I bet they could sell the TV rights for a fortune!

What it reminds me of is an experiment they tried several years ago (mid-80's? I'm going on a faint memory at this piont), that was supposed to be a lengthy stay -- longer, as I recall -- but that was exactly the problem... the people who went in lasted quite a while, but became unable to stand being in the same county with each other, as I recall.....
