Im reading right now Lian Hearn's Otori series and liking it.

It made me think if there are other books like it

Otori series for example feels alot YA in a good way and i love the historical fiction part.

So any help?

It doesnt matter if its something beteween fantasy and Historical fiction.

The Otori books are great. I'd suggest Phillip Pullman's Sally Lockheart books off the top of my head.

Celia Rees writes fantastic YA historical fiction. Witch Child, Sorceress, Pirates and many others have been popular titles that are all 99% historical fiction, 1% fantasy.

Thanks !

Hehe Celia Rees i was gonna try anyway cause of her pirate book.

the Bloody Jack series by L.A.Meyer combines several things you are looking for, Conn. It has pirates, it's historical, it's YA, AND it's darn good reading.
