Im reading right now Lian Hearn's Otori series and liking it.

It made me think if there are other books like it

Otori series for example feels alot YA in a good way and i love the historical fiction part.

So any help?

It doesnt matter if its something beteween fantasy and Historical fiction.

No-one seems to have answered your plea so I'm going to suggest:

I am the Great Horse by Katherine Roberts (Chicken House in the UK) I know it's availaable in the US but not what publisher.

It's the story of Alexander the Great told by his warhorse and I've just got Steven Saylor to add it to his website. It's terrific.

And might I suggest my The Falconer's Knot (Bloomsbury)? It's set in Italy in 1316 and is a kind of Name of the Rose for teens.

I really enjoyed Rosemary Sutcliff's books.
Clemence McLaren's historical YA books are supposed to be quite good.
