Hi everybody, :)

How would be the world after reaching to technology of building the Stargates, Warp Drives, Wormholes, Spacewarps ...?:eek::rolleyes:;)

If you're asking how much of an impact it would have... most likely a tremendous impact, should such be feasible (which isn't that likely, really, on a practical level)... though the impact might take a while to filter through. Certainly, the technologies involved would have massive implications; and, if we did establish contact with other intelligent species, then it would revolutionize everything. Positive proof that there is another intelligent race out there (whether advanced technologically or not) would seriously shake the foundations of our most basic views....

I think not. Everybody's already used to the idea that there could very well be other kinds of life out there, whether from scientific ideas or from myths and fairy tales which could just as easily incorporate aliens as spirits in the sky, so it wouldn't be a big deal even to people from low-tech societies who don't think the way we do or get exposed to the same facts and ideas that we do.

And if no life were found, then we'd just have found out that there are a bunch of lifeless planets and other stars out there, which, again, is something we're already used to.

Some would be thrilled to find out that it's possible to explore and travel like that, but others wouldn't care because of the lack of practical real-world effects on our lives, and unless a threat to us here at home were discovered, nobody would think it was a bad thing.

Thanks a lot for the answers. Now, the question is: How could be done, to minimize the "bad" & maximize the "good" ramifications of such an impact?
This consideration has philosophical & practical features to be pondered.
Also, add to the above situation, the possibility of colonizing some proper spheres in other galaxies & stellar systems. I hope the responses would result in more peace & comfort for the humans.

I inserted an image, but wondered why it was deleted?! It exactly was related to this discussion.

I'm afraid it wasn't me moved your picture, and I can't see who did (I'm pretty inexperienced in this; you'd be surprised how nice everybody is in science)
Still, I'll go and tell people that I cleaned out your supernumary posts, and perhaps one of them will explain about your missing image.
