Hello.
Long ago I read a time travel story and I cannot remember the title or author. So looking for a little help:

Is anyone familiar with this plot:

Man capable of time travel decides to use this power to enrich himself. Wary of the dangers of unintended consequences he plans what he believes is the safest way to do this. He travels back in time and to a place where he can purchase what is in the present one of the most sought after and valuable postage stamps in the world. He rents a room, buys the stamp and mails himself a letter with it, then does nothing else but sit in his room and wait. Once he gets the cancelled stamp he stashes it in a place he believes will be safe during the entire time span up to the present. He returns to the present and retrieves the stamp. I think the stamp was for a colonial territory, in South America I think. That's all I can recall.

Thanks in advance!

Just looked at a synopsis of "Great Work of Time" and I did read that story years ago. Maybe the line I described is part of this work. I think I will read it again and see. Thanks very much.
