I have just finished re-reading Schismatrix by Bruce Sterling. This is set in a future Solar System in which human civilisation in various forms is scattered among artificial habitats, and follows the life of one man as he makes his way through these different worlds. I thought it was a terrific story when I first read it about 20 years ago. I am a little more critical now, but it is still well worth a read. I have posted a full review on my blog.
