Hey yall, I was just wonderin if anyone has seen the movie Steamboy and if so, could you tell me if it's any good? I've seen the trailer and the animation looks great but the trailer doesn't really show anything as far as what the movie is actually about. So my question is, what is the movie about and is it any good?

Perpetually Purple
Its about a boy who comes from an inventing family going off to save the world (or at least one corner of it). It's set in a 'parallel world' of the industrial revolution and deals with the same enviromental stuff that Ghibli does. Its not rocket science but its a nice film. I loved it. If you like Ghibli you'll probably like this. Its got a similar feel. And it looks really great!

It looks great and I love it. Saw the original Japanese version first and the sub-titles were worse than awful.
And then got the one with English audio. It's a great watch. Nothing earth-shattering but well done.

Ghibli is a Japanese animation studio. I first saw Spirited Away then Howl's Moving Castle and I was immediately hooked. I'm trying to collect everything by Studio Ghibli at the moment but its a big task. Their animation just blows me away. Disney is spoiled forever after you've seen a Ghibli film haha.
