Mindscan by Canadian author Robert Sawyer

I think it's a great book about "uploading" the human mind into the computer of an android...

Anyone read this one? Any thoughts?

This seems to be the 1st post I saw about Robert Sawyer. I've read only his Calculating God and thought it was quite good. I own a couple of others but not Mindscan. Thanks, I may look it up.

I loved Calculating God, but I haven't read Mindscan yet.

His novel Frameshift really reminds me of Asimov in that he gets right down to the science details of everything but his overall stories are a bit slower paced and the quality of the actual writing probably wouldn't pass for snuff in "regular" fiction.

I do highly recommend his Neanderthal Trilogy though.
