Maybe it's becuase I'm still relatively young (18)
But, I thoroughly enjoyed this Anime!

Has anyone else seen, and if so, what did you think of -
  • Characters
  • Character Development
  • Story Line
  • Plot Twists
  • The Ending

I've heard of Chobits. Some faery type robot girl, right?
I've never seen it, and know nothing about it, really.
I might look into it though. Just might...

I've only seen the first four episodes, coming as part of an anime boxset along with several other titles, but it wasn't too bad. I'd be able to give a better opinion once I've seen all the eps, though.

C of K, she is a persocom, which are computers designed to look and act like humans....Cyborgs basically

Ah, yes. I checked out the first episode on youtube -- last night.

I have a question...what sort of empire would you raise? :) Is that a quote from somewhere? Interesting name, raise-an-empire.

Haha, It is, It's bit of a mix from 3 different songs, Or something...
I can't quite remember its origin

I've read the full manga so I'll talk about it from that side. :p

  • Characters - Fairly unique, though now I've read A.I. Love You I can't help but see similarities. I'm not sure which was made first. The "evil" persecoms where a little random though. I never really understood why they were there. They seemed more like an extra to add intensity to it. :p
  • Character Development - It was rather good and I didn't feel the relationships developed too fast. Chi matured fairly rapidly, but that was all part of her character.
  • Story Line - Not too complicated but I felt it was a good length. I like the shorter stories as opposed to those like InuYasha which simply go on for ever. >_< I'm pretty sure the anime is longer, though.
  • Plot Twists - Some were highly unexpected, others I predicted. Overall they were well done and I felt they added a lot to the story as a whole.
  • The Ending - I thought it held a lot of meaning. I'm speaking from the manga; I'm not sure if the ending in the anime is any different. I think it was good to show that love is better than intimacy. Kudos to CLAMP for that. While it was a little disappointing to know the love could not be fully expressed, and a little disturbing to know that a man loved a persecom like a real woman, I did not want Chi to be re-set. :p
