A Princess Of Mars

Fascinating compilation of drawings and paintings. I recognize many of them from book covers and collections of pulp drawings but there are many I've not seen. The music was a little lite for my taste but still fairly appropriate. Nice to see someone still cares.

The song was pretty bad for me, but the clip is pretty cool.

I here rumblings of bringing this to either the big or small screen, not sure which but I would love to see an animated series made of this.....

It's a long time snce I read anything by ERB. But when I read claims from the literati that only high-quality literature survives the test of time, with all the populist dreck disappearing, I think of him...

Are you all aware that Pixar are currently in pre-production for an all CGI version of A Princess of Mars with an estimated 2012 release date?

Really ? Are you sure ?

That would be really great to watch.

Pixar dont make less than high quality animations.

Looks pretty solid - I have googled a number of sites with stories about it. but can't post links here yet.

I hadn't looked at stories about this for a while but having trawled through a couple today the most recent state of play has changed since I last looked. It seems that they will be blending real actors and CGI and are also planning a trilogy based on the first three books (with 'Princess' renamed 'John Carter of Mars'). Release dates quoted varied from 2009 to 2012.

Could be great. Pixar haven't made a bad movie - even 'Cars' was entertaining.
