Pricing confusion

hi; iv.e decided to explor the world of neon Genesis howeverv when I wen to the web site for HMV (in the UK) I came across the platinum edition of neon. Now the indevidual cased DVDs are priced at £6 while the complete boxed set - in a steel case - is priced at £94.99; thats £53 cheaper !!!

So has anyone any idea what I am paying an extra £53 for - it can't just be for a flashy box -can it ?

I think the boxed set has more extras - behind the scenes stuff, audio commentaries, the mythos behind Evangelion and such. From the synopses I read online, the episodes are the same and don't seem to be any different from the original release (I got them when they first came out on video! I feel old!).

The platinum edition is the secound director's cut. There are some scenes that have been re-animated, and other changes. Overall I think there are three reworks eps spread in the series.
