anybody Fancy Becoming an extra in a British Comedy film?

I'm the crowd co-ordinator on a film called Faint Heart.

Filming is about to begin on new British feature film Faintheart in and around Worcester.

MySpace and the filmmakers are looking for extras who would like to appear in the film. You can be of any age, shape or size and, with filming lasting for 5 weeks, there will be plenty of roles to fill (and we don’t mean lunch)!

Whether it’s as a member of the crowd during a battle re-enactment, in the audience of a school play, or friends in a pub, you have the chance to appear in this fantastic new British comedy movie.

Auditions will be held in Worcester, Kidderminster and Ludlow within the next two weeks, so please keep a look out for us.

Faintheart tells the story of Richard, during the working week a lowly sales assistant…but by weekend a mighty Norse warrior. Along with his best friend ‘Trekkie’ Julian and a band of assorted geeks, he leads the “Bloody Broadswords” – a throng of bloodthirsty Viking warriors, dedicated to uphold honour, hunting for a quest befitting their status.

Whilst Richard re-enacts epic battles from days long ago, he seems to have forgotten about his life in the present. His long suffering wife Cath is sick of living in the Iron Age, and when Richard misses her father’s funeral because of a battle, she’s finally had enough and kicks him out. Richard’s son Martin has also had enough of his father’s alter ego.

Distraught Richard finally has a quest worth fighting for; can he win back his fair maiden? Can he become a responsible father?

…And will Julian find true love in a Star Trek chat room?

Director Vito Rocco and co-writer David Lemon beat over 800 other short filmmakers to win the MySpace MyMovieMashup nationwide search for a director competition.

Faintheart is being produced in association with the top social networking site MySpace, Vertigo Films, Film4, the UK Film Council and Screen WM.

Vertigo Films will release Faintheart in cinemas in 2008
