Hi there
This is a long shot but I'm going to give it a go.
I'm trying to get hold of a graphic novel I saw in a shop in sydney about 2 years ago. The only part of the story I can remember was a man describing a dream he has in which he is in a dark mansion house, he walks into a room and finds an old man who starts to speak to him but he can't hear the words. He wakes up and is compelled to walk off into the woods at night searching for this house, I think in order to kill someone inside it.
The art was very dark and beautiful, with almost an oil painting feel to it as I recall.
I wish I could remember the author / artist or name of the book but sadly not.
Its a longshot but if anyone might recognise the book please let me know, as I have had no luck so far in tracking it down.
