b5 intro music

I don't know why, but i didn't remember all the intro music played thru the seasons. All i remember is season 5.

anyone else just remember that theme?

We have a couple episode soundtracks from season 1 with the intro theme. I also have a midi file for my phone, but it's too quiet to use as a ringer.

As far as I am aware there is a CD compliation of music from B5. might be on either ebay or amazon somewhere

There's at least 10 CDs of music, from Sonic Images/Christopher Frankes.
I've got two, Babylon 5 vol 1, Babylon 5 Suites and Babylon 5 vol 2, Messages from Earth both by Christopher Frankes. The second one has the intro music for the first 4 seasons sans voices. Both are good.

This CD represents mainly music from the first season of the show. The main themes heard included the Requiem for the Line, one of the best pieces from the first season. Also included are snippets of themes used through out the first season. Ranging from quiet, emotional pieces to louder battle sections, Christopher Franke's music is journey of pure excitement. The second season is also represented with music from the first half of the season. A definate change in style can be heard, as the show began to get darker in tone and so the music matches the events of the show. With the first season only represented on this volume and the episodic CD "Chrysalis", I recommend this CD totally. Definately worth purchasing, even if your'e not a Babylon 5 fan.

There were two compilations released for the show, Babylon 5 and a follow up called Messages from Earth. The first mostly represented the first year with suites made up from four episodes; while the follow up followed that patten but from other season, but more importantly containd each seasons unique title music.

On top of this there were nearlty 30 releases, featuring music directly from the episodes! I know this as I am sad enough to have them all...

I'm actually obsessed with the B5 music. Chris Franke's work here is marvelous.

I recently found a site containing downloads with a lot of music playing in the series, plus intros and endings. I'm not sure if it's legal and so, actually o.o I mean, since there's a CD with (at least some of) the tracks on it? But it was a nice finding. I can't post the link yet, as the site kindly reminded me when I tried to post this post xD

My favorite intro theme is absolutely the 1st season's. It gives just the right feeling for the show. Then I've seen that the second is a little more dramatic, the third almost ridiculously dramatic and the fourth... well. Imagine. Or maybe you even remember it? It's like a mix of the 3rd and 2nd themes. Where did the beautiful 1st theme go...

The 5th theme is nice to, imo. Though it's totally different. The season is different too though, so maybe that's just ok. If you should only remember ONE of the intro themes though, it should definitely be the 1st, it's the original, in a way. I've seen many ppl say they like the 3rd the best though.

That brings back some memories. I have two CD's of the B5 music at home, but it's not something you'll listen to every day.

That said, i have just started watching series 1 and intend to go through the lot back to back. Ahh, they don't make em like they used to.
