Has anyone got or know of a sort of family tree for the Feist books?

I think it would be an interesting thing to work out.

If people can write down any relationships they can think of we could come up with one. e.g

Martin, Arutha and Lyam are sons of Borric and X
Pug was adopted by Borric
etc
 
X is Catherine. Martin has a son and a daughter with Briana: Marcus and Margaret. Arutha marries Y, name eludes me again!, and has 3 sons and a daughter: Borric, Erland, Nicholas and Z, name also eludes me as she isn't a main character. There is a start.
 
Arutha's wife is Anita and their daughtr (youngest child) is Elena.

I am SO glad to see someone else taking an interest in this, because I've been 'living' with the ConDoin family for so long I sometimes think of them as real people. :)

I've been planning to make up a family tree for many years, but it's just one of those things I've never gotten around to. I've never seen one on the Gazeeter or any of the other Feist sites, so I guess we're going to have to do it ourselves.

I find this kind of thing as interesting as I do the geography of Midkemia. Guess it's just the old 'professor' in me.

We also need a lineage for Pug's family (tho he fits in as a ConDoin) and if you remember, the Emerald Queen turned out to be Nakor's ex wife. I think researching thru the books to establish all of these familial associations would be a lot of fun - but I still don't want to do it all alone. lol Anyone else interested?

Pug was raise as a foster brother to Tomas, he was made a squire after saving Princess Caroline from trolls, Duke Borric adopted him when on his death bed not aware if Pug was alive or dead(same time as he aknoweledge Martin)

Pug m Katala one son William and an adopted daughter Gamina,

William never married, Gamina m Duke James ( Jimmy the Hand) they had one son Authra think there was some daughters (not 100% sure but Jimmy and Dash did mention aunts) Aurtha (wife unknown) 2 sons Jimmy and Dash.

A number of years later after Katala's death Pug m Miranda daughter of Marcos and the emerald queen also step daughter of Nakor, they had 2 sons Caleb and Magnus

It's a measure of the impact the books had on you, I think....:)
 
Pyan, don't know where U found that, but thank you very much! I'm going to be spending as lot of time going thru that list to refresh my memory on 'who's who'. One of the things that gets confusing at times (and I love it nevertheless) is the way characters tended to name their children after other characters, in memory of family members or friends.

For example, the names Borric, James and Arutha, just to name three, have been handed down and sometimes I have to remind myself which 'Borric' or 'Jimmy' I'm reading about. (not all that hard..lol)

I can also quote verbatim from LOTR (as well as Terry Brooks and REF). Hard to believe it's been almost 45 yrs since I first read LOTR. I bring it out about once every 10 yrs and re-read it, as I do with the Shannara series and I tend to re-read Feist even more frequently. And yes, these books have made a real imopact on me, providing some of my best reading experiences

Geez, am I running off at the mouth? Sorry 'bout that. If I get too boring, just kick me out of Honest John's place here, and back into the hall of the worlds. :D

This is a great idea but already confusing me with all the names flying down and about, guess someone will have to bust out a rough tree and we'll try to correct it if it should need it!

Suppose we'd actually need several tree's to actually fit the main characters all in somewhere! I mean Eric didn't marry into the ConDoin family did he? or Roo tc, and it would be interesting IMHO to look at some of those conections as well!
 
I thoroughly agree, Woodsman. What we need are actual fam trees, particularly for the ConDoin family, but also for other major characters who weren't directly related to the ConDoins. As far as I can remember (w/o going back and rereading right now) neither Roo nor Eric married into the C/D family.

If I remember correctly, ther's also an interesting relationship between Macros and Nakor. If I remember right, the 'Emerald Queen' (can't remember her name right now) was his ex, but later hooked up with, or married, Nakor?? What an interesting 'coincidence'. IMO this is fun stuff and gets you even deeper into the books.

Now if you want a real project, try developing fam trees for Mara of the Acomo and the other feuding families in feudal Japan.... er, I mean Kelewan. lol :D
 
I believe Erik to be related to the conDoins, just a long way down the line. His father was the Baron of Darkmoor after all, and they could be related to the conDoins after all. Its all a bit vague, but i'm sure a few rereads will fix it. As for Roo, isn't he related to John Avery the pirate? Mentioned in Magician i think.
 
Don't remember that Vencar! *runs off to libary* But yeah it is a great plan which if I find some time I might wel try and put into action unless someone feels enegetic and gets there first!

Likely there is a very distant connection between teh von Darkmoors and the ConDoins given the way nobles inter marry, but I'm guessing twould be pretty distant, as in a few generations!
 
Yeah, it must be a lot of generations. I feel i may have made a mistake: John Avery was mentioned in Magician but his relationship was mentioned in RoaMP.
 
Well Roo has definitely been a major player, considering that he financed the whole war for the Crown due to his brilliant business acumen and charismatic personality. We could at least run a tree starting with his father and down thru his sons, Jimmy and Dash, etc.

Erik is going to be harder to trace, considering that he's the ******* of Baron VonDarkmoor, and as Vencar mentioned the V/Ds could be distantly related to the ConDoins. This is fun and interesting, but it's going to entail a bit of work for some of us.

The you just need to tie in Pug's adopted brothers and gamina's family - just to simplify matters.
