Silly Author Person
My apologies for being a scarce presence out here. My mother has had not one, but two surgeries for a torn retina in the last seven weeks (and the second one included a cataract removal) and it that wasn't bad enough, she contracted a stomach virus on top of the surgery, which meant I got to spend a night in the emergency room with her.
I have worn myself to a frazzle, to say the least. Between trying to get the room cleaned out, looking after Mom (involving time off from work) and still trying to carry on as usual, it has tried to take its toll on me.
But I am a strong person, even when I am heavily stressed out.
Today, I had an energy massage (something I do once a month) and my healer said that this was the most stressed I had ever been, so she put a lot of effort into smoothing out the turmoil and getting me balanced again.
And I felt so much better, not realizing that I had actually been so stressed.
Today, I also received Great News.
Five Star Press has made an offer for my modern fantasy novel Angels of Mercy.
The best way to describe the book is Small Town Librarian Versus Dark Elves in the Back Woods of East Tennessee.
It was a fun book to write, and now I am pleased to know it will see print.
Wheeeeeeeeee!
Still reeling from that, I am.
